I would do a postcard-like design, with stickers, in an envelope.  You can cut out the sticker and use a removable glue to stick it on the “postcard.”

I’ve always loved those envelope-on-postcards. They’re so cute!

i saw the stickers for the calendar idea after i got all the supplies to make mine. i probably would have done that if i hadnt already decided.

    here is mine:

the card says “our day is fast approaching and we can hardly wait wed love for you to be there so be sure to save the date.

i got inspiration from a bride on the knot who got her inspiration from martha stewart.

I’ve always loved that Martha Stewart little envelope postcard and I’d love to get one in the mail!

I’ve never done it, but there are a lot of very strong/permanent adhesives out there.  You could do some tests and mail them to yourself.  And if you’re very worried you could put the whole postcard in an envelope.

i would be very concerned sending the postcards out without some sort of “protection” for the attatched envelope.  i think a vellum envelope would work well, as would a clear cello sleeve.  note, clear cello sleeves require a few cents extra postage.  i love the idea, i hope you can make it work for you!  🙂
