We are just about to order our save-the-date cards, but are stumped on what to include in the letter section of the back. The front is a photo of us with our wedding date and city. Right now the back says,
We sincerely hope we’ll be able to celebrate our wedding with you on October 15th. For more details, including accommodation information, please visit our wedding website, http://www.weddingwire.com/xxxxxxxxx

Do you think that’s okay? What did you write?

We wrote something along those lines… Dear ______ (we handwrote their names) “A and C are getting married! Mark your calendars for July 5th, 2011, for a night of celebration! Formal invitations to follow. Love, A and C”
or something like that. And we put our wedding website on the bottom.

@Ayslinn–thanks! I love your wording, “a night of celebration.” Cute!

Does anyone else have advice?

We put the basic details on the front of the postcard “iheartnerds and Mr. iheartnerds are getting married!” and the date and “invitation to follow” then on the back we had printed:
“We look forward to celebrating with you, so please save the date – 10.9.11 – for our wedding in Anytown, Massachusetts! For more information: website address”
Yes, I put the date on the front and the back just in case. 🙂
