Hi! 🙂

Usually you just have the couple’s name, the date and the general city where the ceremony is.

I say postcards cause they looks fantastic and classy if printed on the right type of paper. 🙂

GOOD LUCK!

I would just add the city and state where you figure people will be staying- most likely the reception area. People are willing to travel early in the day for the ceremony, but I would think that they would want to stick close to the hotel for the reception since it ends later at night. I wouldn’t put really specific info beyond that. That kind of info (hotels, maps, locations etc.) generally go with the invitations, but you can save a ton of money by making a free website. If you make the website, you can just put the website address on your Save the Date so people can go there and make their plans based off of that info. Much easier (and cheaper)! I’ve seen magnet and postcard save the dates. Keep in mind- with postcards you’ll have to buy postcard stamps (and I was worried that our overseas guests, who would really need the advance notice, would receive them late-or not at all). It’s cheap and easy to make magnets- just buy the little magnet pieces and glue to the back of the save the date. It’s a nice idea and an easy reminder. Good luck!

How does 150 cards with envelopes and shipping for $95 sound?

i included our names, wedding city, date, and website.

diy-ing magnets usually ends up being expensive. look at vistaprint or overnight prints — their magnets are super cheap.

I would go with the cards from paper-source.com- it seems like they’re pretty solid (more so than just regular paper). I’m sure it would hold up well and it comes in super fun shapes and colors.
