I have the basic shark steam mop, I think the $70 one? I do love it and use it weekly on my floors. However I still deep cleanu floors once a month with pine sol or Lysol to get them super clean. I just don’t feel it gets deep down.

I like mine!  We have some pretty old hardwood floors so I want to avoid using chemicals on them.  The Shark does pretty well!

I don’t but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the commercials and if we didn’t have mostly wall to wall carpet I would want one 🙂

I have a steam mop (not the shark one – a different brand) and it works so well, nothing cleans up the pet foot prints, and such better!

So I’ve heard that you can’t use the steam mop on hardwood or linoleum floors because the steam ruins them. What do you guys use your steam mop for?? We have tile in our bathrooms but the rest of our house has hardwood flooring.

@Heatherloveskenny: The Shark says on their website (at least for the model I have) that it’s safe for hardwood floors.

I have one and I LOVE LOVE IT. As someone mentioned above, it’s amazing if you have pets (and kids).

@Heatherloveskenny: I use the steam mop on my hardwood floors. It seems fine to me.

We have the Shark model pictured above and love it! It’s perfect in the winter when the dogs track in little muddy footprints. We have fake wood floors (I forget what that’s called – Pergo or something?) and tile in the kitchen and use it on both. My in-laws use their Shark on their hardwood floors with no problems!

We got a steam mop from our registry (the Shark)! Laughing That was a year ago and I still love it. It works great! Still going strong and it cleans up better than the traditional mop without the chemicals. I know I sound a bit like an advertisement here, but seriously…. love.
