SHARK STEAM MOP!!! Love that thing!

It’s so convenient, it comes with an attachment for your carpet as well if you have carpet.

We usually run the Dyson on bare floor setting every other day then steam mop it. Takes like 5 minutes.

I think the steam mop leaves less streaks and mess. I love my steam mop for our hardwood and cork floors.

We have the shark steam mop and we love it. It’s super easy to use and it works great. This is going to sound gross but the floor in my master bath is always sticky from hair spray. The steam mop loosens that up within seconds so it’s super easy to clean. Before getting the mop, I would be on my hands and knees for HOURS cleaning the damn floor. Not anymore! Even Fiance uses it which is a testament to how easy it is.

ETA: There are different models to choose from. My FIL’s have the lower end model and they don’t like theirs. We purchased the more expensive model (I’m at work but I can check the model when I get home) and ours works great. IMO, spend the extra money and get the better model.

I had a shark steam mop and the handle snapped on it.  I had read that complaint in the reviews and was so careful with it.  I was just trying to get a spot off the floor and the whole thing almost made me go flying!

I loved the idea of it, but won’t get a new one at this point.

@roxy821:

We have a cat that sheds like you wouldn’t believe. No issues whatsoever.

@roxy821:

We have a dog and she is shedding like crazy right now!! The thing I love about the Shark Steam Mop is that the “wipes” are cloth and washable. So I use them then just throw them into the wash. So convenient and cost effective. 🙂

I’ve had it for almost a year I think? No handle problems.

THIS is the model we have. We paid like $70 at BJs?

I have the H2O mop and love it, sometimes i add a bit of vinegar to the water too… I try to vacuum first to get rid of the hair, but if there is hair on the floor, it just sorta clumps together on the pad, not a big deal!

I love my steam mop, but I only use it on the tile (I hear that it can damage the hardwoods).  I love that I don’t have to use harsh chemicals to get everything clean.

Oh, and speaking of shedding… my dogs used to shed a TON, but I’ve noticed that the amount of fur has gone down by over half since I started feeding them the more expensive/ healthier dog food several months ago.

We have a Shark as well and honestly I wouldn’t recommend it, esp. for hair. I find it will not pick up “pieces” (i.e. my hair, small bits of grass or anything really), so if I do not sweep really well beforehand, the mop sort of “collects” the gunk and then spreads it out even more. It does work well on stickyness, but I find most of what needs mopping is more in the dusty realm for us and it doesn’t do a great job at that (the regular mop does a lot better job even though it is a hassel). Just my 2 cents…
