Well,  I would make the crinoline more wrinkled then, atleast the parts that wont show.

My experience was all about how the crinoline was poofed once it was on my body. For example, pulling it out and down made it fuller versus just down, if that makes sense.

Sure, I have a question, though. Do you just have the two layers of tuille, or do you have an additional crinoline that you’re trying to poof?

Okay, so I wanted a lot of poof, so I had a super mega crinoline with a ton of layers, but I think the concept is still the same.

When you go for your fittings, does your seamstress pull on the tuille once you have your dress on? Pulling on it uncrinkles it and does make it fuller, so I think she is right that steaming it would have the same effect. I didn’t steam mine– my bridesmaids just pulled on the crinoline with all their might to give me poof.
