Hi ladies! I’m getting married in Lakewood here in a couple of weeks and need to find a place that can steam/press my dress after 15 hours packed in the car (we’re driving in from California).
Thanks for your help!

@Racing2theAlter: I don’t know any spots off the top of my head, but I recommend that you call a few bridal salons here and see who THEY suggest. That way they’ll send you to someone who can handle wedding dresses appropriately.

Thanks for the suggestion! How about shop recommendations that carry Maggie Sottero dresses?

@Racing2theAlter: If I were a Maggie bride I could totally help you out there! However, if you go to maggie’s site and use the store locator, you can get a list of shops in Colorado that carry her dresses. Here are a few in or near Lakewood:
Lakewood, CO 80226
7301 West Alameda Avenue Suite E
Phone: (303) 980-1400
Denver, CO 80237
The Bridal Collection
8101 East Belleview Avenue Suite G
Phone: (720) 493-9454

Wow…Danelli wants $150 to do it. That seems insanely high! How about places for non-Maggie dresses that are back to real world prices? I am seriously over this whole wedding industry over inflated prices to rip off all of us getting married. UGH! Is it honeymoon time yet?!

@Racing2theAlter: This is where I may have to let you embrace your Google-fu. Some dry cleaners and such may offer this service, but I haven’t had to figure it out yet. Maybe another Colorado bride will pop in and have a good answer!
Since dresses are all pretty much made from similar materials (and shops are used to dealing with this), I wonder how much a spot like David’s Bridal would charge? You could probably call around and get a good estimate from various spots in the Denver area.
Here’s a link to a google search for “wedding dress steamers denver”

I had my dress altered and pressed at Gold Label Cleaners. The main location is in the Tech Center, and took about 20 minutes to get to from my house in Lakewood. They did a great job. I believe just pressing itself is under $100. http://www.goldlabelcleaners.com
