I guess this is what I get for starting planning too soon. I had a whole gorgeous, soft, elegent color palette in mind; blush, shades of grey, touches of sage and cream for accents.
I showed my FI tonight, and he said….
“I like blue.”
Now, don’t get my wrong. Blue is actually my favorite color. But I loved the elegant softness of the blush palette. But I want to find something that we’ll both like. I spent awhile on Perfect Palettes and gave him some options of colors. He overwhelmingly liked the dusty blues. I’m not really sure what the difference between dusty/steel/slate are, although I’m sure there are differences, but that’s where I’m now looking.
So, please help, hive. What on earth would go with the dusty blues without being too blah? I don’t love the camel/brown palettes, but that’s really all I’ve seen. Pictures would be super, super helpful!

@jpr: our palette is dusty blue, cream and blush, here are inspiration pics I’ve come up with:
Basically I think your palette is spot on except instead of dark dresses pick a lighter blue/gray

I am going with the blush, cream, slate color combo too! I just love the soft romantic vibe. But modern too. I would love my girls to wear slate blue. Has anyone found some nice slate blue bridesmaid dresses? Amsale has a perfect slate but it is so expensive. Maybe Alfred Angelo Once Upon a Time but…I dunno… Any good alternatives? Thanks!!

@jayjaysgirl: You might get more help if you post on the Bridesmaids Board. Bees who have great knowledge about dresses might not look at the Decor board.

Blues, grays, and lavender could look really nice. And maybe add a metallic like soft champagne or mercury glass.
Colors are hard, ya’ll. I love them all. When I am buying something and it comes in 10 colors but I only get one, I almost start to panic. What if I pick the wrong one!! Noooo!
