Essense of Australia for me! After tax and shipping, I think it came out to right at $1600, which was just waaaayyyy too much for me. But my mom bought it and so of course I accepted. Here are some pics– it’s not altered yet.

It came with detachable straps and a gorgeous belt!

I’m wearing Stella York 5932 (can’t find the pictures on my phone now, sorry!) and it came out to $1,000. It’s a great brand and definitely possible to find something in your budget!

2019bridd :  The photo uploader wont work for me, but mine was the Stella York 2645. PM me and Ill send you the link to our photos if you want to see it! Here’s the listing for it so you can see stock photos

I bought it at a Stella trunk show, so I got ~ $200 off, but it would have still been under your budget even without the discount. It was $1500 after taxes, before alterations, so probably around $1725-ish regular price after taxes. I would check around for trunk shows in your area – lots of good discounts!

You definitely can find something in your price range with one of those designers. Here’s my EOA. Originally priced at approx. $2300 and I got it for $1850…with taxes it came to $2000. It’s a newer dress that came out this year and I did a lot of research online and called local retailers to get pricing then I narrowed it down to 2 dresses. I waited to go back during the National Bridal Day Sale to take advantage of the sales and discounts. I ended up choosing this EOA vs the Pronovias Princia dress. I can’t wait until it comes in November! Good luck!

I haven’t gotten my dress yet, but tried on both Stella York and Rebecca Ingram a few weeks ago. They were all beautiful! I must have tried on 15 dresses and the most expensive one was $1599. Stella York is actually an offshoot of Essence of Australia, so there are a lot of similar, lower priced styles!

tomkitty :

What a fabulous dress and you look wonderful in it . Doesn’t need the belt at all, why obscure your tiny waist!
