You crack me up Laughing I go through this too, but in the end I remind myself, yes, this is just one day, but this is THE DAY. You’ll never be able to justify spending 2k on flowers ever again so do it Tongue out

lol! I think we’re the same person!  I kept panicking over every little penny.  One minute I wanted a wedding and wanted to have an awesome dance party the next I was freaking out about spending money.  I would try to justify spending money on a wedding but then I would think of ten things I could use it for.  It is alot of money but it’s also the only day like it in your life.  I decided because of how I am we’re just going to have a small ceremony so I don’t have to deal with it.  But if you want that ceremony just stop stressing over it and try to enjoy it 🙂

Choose what you want to spend the budget on and jettison or scale down the rest.  Just because the wedding complex says you need it- doesnt mean you do.

Yes. I had a mini freak out today. Although mine was over the wedding cost total as Fiance showed me the excel spreadsheet budget.

I’ve tried to cut corners as much as possible.  Yet, I admit I have reached the point where I don’t keep track of things on my spreadsheet anymore.  I just don’t want to know.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss!

This made me giggle! My Fiance also did the crazy obsessive spreadsheet. EVERY time I go to the craft store I need to put the exact total into this spreadsheet. I thought I was the only one with an obsessive Fiance. In his defense he is an engineer, so he likes things neat and organized.

I have cut corners in a lot of ways to get our budget down and the thing I hated cutting the most was the videographer because I REALLY wanted a video of our wedding, but the costs were just too high….that and no pocketfold envelopes for my invites with. I am contemplating belly bands to hold all the cards together, but it still isn’t as awesome looking as pocketfolds!

I get a little sick when I think of how much money we’re spending on one day, and we’re doing a pretty low budget wedding (I think in the end we’re coming out at about $8K). I just try to save $$ wherever I can, and try not to feel guilty about the things we’re splurging on. Yeah, it’s one day, but we’re going to remember it for the rest of our lives.
