I have a round brilliant, and often dream of a gorgeous emerald cut ring, especially when I see other gorgeous ones here. I’ll never act on it though, love the ring FH and I picked out together 🙂

Love love love my step cut. I love clean lines in everything: clothes, bags, furniture etc and love that the step cut reflects my style. They sparkle so beautifully in a different way! I love seeing my friends other rings and their sparkles but at the end of the day, both Fiance and I love how simply beautiful the step cuts are.

I have an emerald cut and I prefer it over my brillant cuts in other jewelry. I too love the clean lines.

I always wanted an emerald cut. Having one has ust confirmed my love for them. I could never see myself with another cut.

nope! I have an emerald cut & I just love looking at the perfect clean lines in it! But I like that in most everything- my clothes, my house, etc… I like things to be in their place, perfectly lined up LOL. I’m not big on sparkle though, I didn’t want a sparkly ring and I still don’t. My ring has a few tiny brilliant cut diamonds around the emerald cut main stone & while I like that specific look I really don’t like how busy they look up close with all the different light facets going on…

I have an asscher, and I got a CZ round to try out because I was thinking of switching and I learned that I much prefer my step cut.

I had the opposite problem. I had an Round Brilliant, and just couldn’t get the emerald cut out of my head. Obsessed with it!

Now I have it and love it so much. I am so bored of round stones. That said, I am building up quite a RHR collection, so I do get to change it up.

I have an asscher cut and I have no desire for anything else. I’m not big on sparkle and I prefer the glass-like clarity and clean lines of step cuts. All those facets on the brilliant cuts look pretty but I find them too fussy/busy for my taste.

However, if you feel inclined to “cheat”, may I suggest trying it out with a CZ/silver ring first? Just in case you find that you don’t really care for it.

I started with a round diamond (low quality), went to a step cut morganite (to be different, I gues. idk). and am currently lusting for another, larger round diamond. I miss the sparkle, not that my original stone had much, but I learned that I love rounds.

I love my EC for its beautiful clean & clear simple design. BUT, I do look at some of the round or cushion brilliant rocks and go ‘wow, mine doesn’t bling like that’.

I have an emerald cut and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I tried on an oval and a radiant when we went ring shopping to humour the sales person but they simply didn’t interest me. Overall I love how elegant they look and that not everyone has one so they are also unique. The amazing flashes of light I get from my ring are just as eye catching as a brilliant, even more so in my opinion. My ring ‘flashes’, those rings ‘sparkle’ so I guess its just what you like!
