I’m a bride on a budget, now I’ve decided to be a budget bride not forced into it, I love decorating, and I love to be artistic, so when Fiance and I started to talk about weddings we decided to kep it resonable..we talked about ways we can save pennies. And the frist thing talked about/agreed on, was flowers.
SIDEBAR Flowers were the first to go for two reasons. One, Fiance has a super nose, and smells EVERYTHING and is picky when it comes to the smell of flowers, and smell trumps looks. Second, I Cannot smell. as my father always told me,” my nose is there to hold up my glasses” the nose does not work at all not on flowers, vinager, nothing, So for me flowers are just pretty because I can’t smell I don’t smell one and have memories of childrood playing in a lavender bush til supper, I don’t have memories of the lilies in Grandma’s kitchen, (I’m just told these are memories people should have)
ok back on topic, So flowers are the first to go And looking at the price and the amount we would have needed we are very happy on opting to get rid of them…now they will not totally be forgotten but they will be downsized. Our replacement, Sticks.
Sticks are cheap….they can even be free if yuo have an old tree or a beach near by. So sticks are out first option. I’ve never gone to a wedding where sicks were used but I have found some photos. So let me know if you bees think it’s a uinique spin on the centrepiece, bouquet etc
