Okay, so pretty much all along the wedding planning way is one sticker shock after another.
$1500 for a dress? $400 for a veil? $5000 for pictures?
I feel like if you aren’t in the industry you have no idea until you start planning. At least that’s how I feel. ( Not in any way to say photographers or designer dresses aren’t worth spending money, just that they are way more than I had originally budgeted)
So now it’s tuxedos. My Fiance is getting his tux from men’s wearhouse. I feel bad asking people to pay $230 for a tux rental that they wear once when my bridemaid dresses are a hundred dollars less and they can keep them forever. I eventually came to accept that this is just what the price is for tux rental these days and there is nothing I can do about it.
I guess because my BMs dresses are $130 and the child version I’m getting for my nieces is $100 I assumed it would be a bit cheaper for kids tux rentals too. Nope, it’s the same $230 for each child’s tux rental. So if I want to rent each of our nephews a tux it will cost me $690 plus tax just for the boys alone. Well, I was not expecting that.
Is this what everyone else is paying for kids tux rentals? I thought it would be cute to have our nieces and nephews match the grown BMs and Groomsmen, but maybe I should look into similar, but cheaper tuxedos someplace else? What did everyone else do?
