We do not have many males in our family, so I decided to have my dad walk my mom and my grandma down the aisle together (one on each arm), and then he’ll swing back and walk me down the aisle as well (my shy dad is super excited to get two walks down the aisle).

That could be an option for your uncle — double duty.

My dad died when I was little so I’m having my Mom walk me down the aisle.  I thought about having my brother or my grandfather do it but when it came down to it, my mom has been the most influential person in my life so I wanted her to be able to give me away.  She cried in the middle of a restaurant when I asked her if she would do it so I know it meant a lot to her.  It sounds like you really want a male to walk you but having her do it could be an option.

Do you have any younger male cousins on your side? We made my 2 cousins (they were 13 & 14) at the time our ushers so they could escort the grandmothers and then my mom down the aisle. She didn’t want to pick between the two so they both walked her and it was a really special moment between the 3 of them.

My dad had to walk back up the aisle 3 times.  He brought my grandma, my mom, and then me.  Could your uncle make more than one trip?

Could your FI’s dad escort both mothers at once?  That’s what we did since my brother was a groomsman and my dad was walking me.

I think my mom is going to walk alone. My brother is a groomsman, Fi is walking his mom before taking his place at the front, and Dad is walking me … so I told my mom it can be her proud MOB moment when she walks alone down the aisle, grinning like an idiot, at the very front of the processional 🙂
