We took a Carnival honeymoon cruise and had a great time. We’re planning a cruise this year, and we’re still considering Carnival. Honestly, I’m a little hesitant, but problems could absolutely happen on any vacation at any time. I’m reminding myself of that.
There’s no way I would be booking a cruise with Carnival right now but like other posters said the chances of a major disaster are pretty low and probably similar no matter what type of vacation you take.
We took a Carnival cruise back in July, and I loved it. I wouldn’t go on it for a honeymoon (most cruisers told us Royal was the way to go), but I would go on one again. I think, statistically, you would be fine considering how many boats go out on a given day, but I might wait until they check their whole fleet out and ensure crap like that won’t happen.
We’ve already booked and given a deposit although I’m kind of scared because of the things that have happened. I’ve only gone on a cruise once and it was Royal Caribbean, I had a blast and the service was excellent. I don’t know what to do, but we don’t want to throw away $500!
