I do.  Been through 3 dresses so far and still not 100% but I think alot is due to my self esteem and the fact that I don’t really like dresses haha

Can you share a picture of you in your dress?

I’m so sorry hun *hugs* I had dress regret throughout the entire engagement and I know this isn’t of much help, but I really don’t look back on the pictures and LOVE my dress (my veil, yes), even though everyone tells me how much they LOVE the dress. I will say that on the day of the wedding with the proper undergarments, hair and makeup, veil, the whole LOOK, plus a little wedidng day radiance, the dress did look completely different than it ever did when I tried it on.

@nellie_pie: I just looked up your dress on your previous posts and it looks gorgeous! I love how it flows. Would love to see you in it. What do you like about the dress? What do you dislike? Try to identify these things more clearly for yourself and in doing so, you may find a way to resolve it and put yourself at ease. Can you speak with an alterations specialist to see if any changes can be made to please you? I agree with PP that indeed on wedding day when all the pieces come together it will have a whole different appeal to you. But, see what you can do with the remaining time. Good luck!

P.S. Forget about the whole sale issue. That’s a shame you felt pressured and the sales girl wasn’t putting your best interest first, which is unfortunate and typical, but all that is secondary. Focus on the elements of the dress itself.

@nellie_pie: would you be able to buy like a really fun belt that you LOVE to go with it? Fun blingy jewelry? I almost just bought a belt first and then was going to seach for a dress to go with it beacause I loved it so much! Also I bet you could have the bow removed VERY easily! ๐Ÿ™‚

I just have to say that your dress is really very beautiful. I love it. I love the silhouette and detailing and I think a complimentary veil will just be breathtaking. FWIW, I don’t recommend a sash nor do I think it would do anything good for the dress.

@nellie_pie: would you need to replace the bow with something? I can’t see the detail on the dress but I know that you can buy very inexpensive plain satin ribbon and use that as a sash, my best friend did that and it looked really good! That way it won’t clash with the veil? could you post the jewelery you bought I bet it will go with it! your dress is plain in a good way that you can pretty much put whatever you want with it ๐Ÿ™‚

or there are really great belts that don’t tie, they just wrap around and it looks like a part of the dress…just trying to help by throwing out some options. I think you look great and once you are all done up on the big day i think you will look differently at yourself in the dress. it is hard to imagine right now i know but i think it will all come together very nicely.

I think you look great, the dress really shows off your figure and the bow is cute ๐Ÿ™‚

@nellie_pie: gorgeous earrings I think those will look great, and that is a really good idea to try the dress on after your hair and make up trial to get a better picture of how you will look on THE day. I think a blingy belt would look awesome but I am a huge fan of them. I think that the flower may clash with the bow….but you could see and remove the bow if you need to? I think you have a lot of options with this dress which is great! but also too many options can be overwhelming too so i get that as well.

That’s a BEAUTIFUL dress! Is it from David’s Bridal? I tried one on at David’s Bridal that looked *just* like that, and it was one of my top contenders! The bow on the side was literally one of my favorite things about the dress.

Had I purchased the dress, though, I was going to remove the beading under the bust and put a ribbon with flowers sewn onto it along the bust, and turn the back into a corset-back. So I don’t think a flower in your hair would clash with a bow at all. ๐Ÿ™‚

I always reccomend checking into the before/afters dress thread where you see the bride at the shop with flourecant lighting trying it on and then in her dress full get up , make up and professional photography on her big day. It really helps you see how much better things will feel when everything comes together.

By The Way, I love the dress!
