Yes, keep the dress you already bought

No, the second is the better choice

Keep looking to find one I'm completely happy with

I think the less drastic drop waist on the second dress suits your figure better. The pic you just posted of the first dress modified reinforces my view- I don’t think the line will be flattering even when the dress is in your size. And I don’t like a belt on it. Sorry to be harsh.

I love the second dress’s color and silhouette on you. I do not like how harsh the drop waist is on the first dress, it cuts you off and is unflattering.

I’m neutral on the colours, I think they are both fine. But the second dress is so much more flattering. The first one has a really harsh line that hits right below your stomach which accentuates it. Adding the belt unfortunately doesn’t help this. Now it almost looks like you’re boxing in and highlighting your midsection. The second one gives you a lovely hourglass shape instead.

I looove the french beige color and wish I could have gotten that for myself! re the coloring, it really depends in your skin tone and hair.  I’m not a fan of super white dresses, I’ve yet to see anyone whose looks are enhanced by it and I don’t like the way it photographs. It actually impacts the white balance which is a whole other   issue lol.

But I really agree with PP that number two is more flattering to you. I’m not a fan of drop waists that stop where the first one does on anyone, tbh. But I love the color. And I even love that the top is original and a change from the usual sweetheart.

I’m pretty sure most shops won’t give you back your deposit, and you pay the balance when you pick it up, right? so…why not wait until it comes in in your size…have someone take a picture with you standing in front of the door (so you see it in natural light), and then make a decision? They’re pretty similar dresses. The size may be the determining factor.

plannerbear520:  Can’t you just not pay? They’ve still got a dress they can sell. I’d call and ask.

Either way, the size of the sample seems to be more the problem than the dress style itself.

I like the second dress better. The first dress is nice, but the top and bottom look like two different colours. As others mentioned, the line on the drop waist takes away from the dress. Hopefully though, it won’t be as evident when the dress is in your size.

I haven’t wedding dress shopped yet so I am not sure about policies but is there a way to transfer your 50% deposit to dress #2?
