Yes, keep the dress you already bought

No, the second is the better choice

Keep looking to find one I'm completely happy with

Other - please comment with opinion

plannerbear520: you should call and see what the actual deal is with the deposit. can it be applied to something else in store? how much is dress 2? and would they sell you the sample, do they have a trunk show coming up, can they give you any sort of discount at all?

then, if the non refundable deposit on dress 1 is $500, you could buy undergarments, a veil, shoes, and a sash there – or whatever and buy the second dress (which i have to say, flatters you 100x more than dress 1) yes, that money is ‘gone’, but you would have had to buy those items anyways so you’re not ‘out’ the money totally.

I prefer the second dress on your silhouette better. The first dress doesn’t seem to “flow” as well.

But I think both the blush and the beige are fine. you don’t need an ivory or white gown to be “bridal”

I really like dress 2 on you. If money isn’t an issue then go with the dress you love. After all is said and done and the wedding is over, all you will have to remember it by are the pictures and your husband. If you’re going to look at the pictures and wish you had picked a different dress then I would change it

i think the lighting in the first picture is very dark as opposed to the other one and the dress itself doesn’t fit you as well as the other one does.

With that said, I still like the detail better of the first one especially the top. It’s just more special.

I personally really like the color, but if you’re not certain, I think that dress would also look gorgeous in an Ivory.

I love dress #2 however to address the issue of money. I work at a small boutique and you are correct your deposit goes towards ordering your dress that is why basically every bridal shop (even DB) is final sale. The designers do not allow us to cancel orders so we are getting a dress whether we or the bride wants it or not. Every stores policy is different however I know my store won’t do any kind of exchange (again because the original payment already went to buying the first dress). Another problem is the store does not need two of your dress if they already have one. Try talking to the manager just don’t get your hopes up too high.

Is there perhaps a family member or friend willing to help you afford a second dress? Also try selling the original one on https://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ That way you can balance out the transition cost of a new dress.

plannerbear520: don’t hate your body, hate the sample! It’s weird how the stock photo doesn’t have that line at all. Based on the pics you posted I thought it was an actual seam. Now I am rethinking my statement, maybe when it’s in the correct size the line wont be there. Also, spanx! I wore em. can you just wait for your dress to come in and then decide?

No matter what color your choose, you’ll still be the “lightest” one in the room, thus making you “The Bride.” LOVE the first dress.

Nothing to do with the colour, but I love the second dress on you. It compliments you just beautifully.

The first dress, while nice, seems to ‘cut you off’.

Nothing to do with the color, I just don’t like the first one. The second one looks way better. I’m also having dress regret and I think the lady that’s like my mom played a huge role in why I got it, like yours.

actually the stock photo does have the line, it is just less obvious. the colour is not the issue, but the dropped waist is just not quite as flattering. good luck in making your decision and keep us updated!!
