So, this all started September 23rd when I realized that I had not started my cycle yet. I had taken my sugar pills since Thursday ( I was on birth control) and still no period. I thought well, we will see if I start my cycle before I was supposed to start my new pack of birth control pills. I never had my cycle so, I began taking pregnancy tests – they all came up negative. The reason I was worried about being pregnant is because I was on antibiotics for the three weeks of my birth control in the month of September and my husband I did not use any other form of protection – not really thinking about it. Anyway, now it is October 17th and I still have not had my period. My doctor did a blood test last week and she said it came out negative and just to wait for my period. Well, I don’t know when she thinks it is going to start because it is has been almost four weeks. Then, my friend tells me that her blood test wasn’t positive until she was 9 weeks and to keep testing and waiting. I’ve had some cramping, a little bit of white discharge (nothing like ovulating), some tenderness in my breasts but not overly so, I have had some food aversions and a couple gagging episodes but even that I could try to explain away. I just don’t know if I should hound my doctor for more answers? I don’t want to take the pill that induces your period because I know sometimes that can cause miscarraiges if you are pregnant. I have told myself I am not pregnant because of the blood test, but I still have no cycle and I was always like clockwork no matter what stress or illness. Any similar experiences? Any advice?
