Hope he shows up soon! That’s got to be frustrating to keep everyone updated at work – I’m thinking that’s why I’ll quit working a few days before my due date (plus I’m scared of my water breaking at work) 🙂

@mrstilly: One of my patients when I was in OB said that she kept thinking toward the end that if she poked her belly, maybe that would start contractions. She was in labor at the time, so maybe you ought to Pilsbury it up!

You’re days (maybe even hours!!!) away from having a baby!  I know it’s frustrating, but just try to take it one day at a time.  Do you have a temp?  Pretty much the entire last week I was at work, I let my temp do all my work and I did things like look at baby clothes online or write thank you cards.  🙂  Whatever you’ve got to do to make it through these last few days!

Good luck!  I’m sending happy contraction thoughts your way!

@helenberrycrunch: haha, this literally made me LOL. I can only imagine walking by and seeing someone do this. Would probably make my day.

@mrstilly: Good luck! I hope you get to meet your little one soon!

I also worked up until the end, but I did do some half days at the bitter end.  😉  I know how frustrating it can be.  At the end, I was doing curb walking, getting hand and foot massages, and I was actually scheduled to get labor inducing accupuncture, lol.  You can even read about it on wedMD, so I don’t think it is JUST hippy.  I never would’ve considered it before, but I was scheduled to go 5 days before my due date (3.5 weeks after dropping!), and I went into labor that day.  The lady said she never had anyone go more than 7 days after a treatment and once had someone’s water break right after the appointment.  It’s crazy what you will try at the end!
