I’m thinking you should just get married already so there won’t be any more choices to make.  Wink

go with what you like.  The fashion police aren’t going to arrest you on your big day.  You’re going to drive yourself crazy second guessing yourself all the time.

Am I missing something? You are getting married in AZ?!  And you want a winter shoe?  I’m confused! How cold does it actually get there?  The shoes go so well with the dress, btw. Here in the midwest it gets super cold and snowy and I wouldn’t question a brides choice on her shoe based on season… it’s a bridal shoe, you can really do anything!

I think I want a traditional veil and then brought up that maybe a birdcage for the reception, he thought that would look silly.

Why don’t you go with what you want! Not like men scope out what is in with bridal style (or most styles for that fact) and like we do almost daily… Idk why you think he knows so much about wedding style?  I love my Fiance to death and he has great style but I wouldn’t trust him with what would look best with a wedding dress, but that’s me. Many brides do both styles… it’s not that big of a deal!  Really, he won’t even remember saying that on the big day… trust me.

@cherryblossomlove:

Honestly, the flower on the shoe is soooo far away from the flower on your shoulder.  It’s not like they are both at the bottom of your dress in competition with each other.. does that make sense?  It’s more of an accent of each rather than something overpowering.

I still think you should go with what you love.  Your shoes are not overly strappy at all.  In fact, if you remove the flower you are taking away some of the ‘bulk’ which will reveal the thinner band which might then be considered more ‘summery’, if that makes sense. Your dress is very romantic imo and the flower on the shoes goes well.  But, you have to do what makes you happy.

I like the idea of a birdcage type veil at the reception… not all of them go over your face… you can have the best of both worlds.

Also, you can stick some bling or a cluster of small pearls (can’t see the detail on your dress) in the center of the flower on your shoe, then it can mimic/compliment the flowers on your shoulder, too.

Just for clarification, I like the flower on the shoe.  But you can maybe do what I said above OR you can remove the flower and replace with a pretty shoe clip that may make it more wintery.  If the shoes are comfy, don’t spend your money on new ones! : )
