We are renting a private villa from June 12-19 and it will be costing us approximately $3,020 (we are paying $360 a night/7 nights). It also includes the $500 security deposit that you’ll get back if you keep everything in good shape lol.

This is our villa:

The villa comes with a cook. They have the option of stocking your fridge with groceries at $65 per person plus 15% service fees. We’re opting out of this route since we only eat halal meat, and most of the groceries weren’t that appealing. We’ll probaby hitch a taxi to a grocery store and stock up.

I’m not sure how much eating out is, but I’d expect its a bit pricier than your average place since its a vacation spot and they always jack up the price for tourists.

If you’re looking to do activities (island tour, snorkeling, horseback riding) they range from $60-120 per person.

Our airfare is costing us approximately $1,775 for two adults, round trip. We booked with Orbitz, and they have a policy that states if the prices for tickets go down, they continue to subtract that from what you paid, and after your booking date you get cash back if the prices were lowered on the tickets.

Trip duration time is about 16 hours, with a layover for us in Chicago for 7 hours. We probably wont need to book a hotel during this layover, but be careful at what flights you look at, because some of them have 10+ hour layovers that you’d probably have to book a hotel room during. So essentially we are leaving Detroit, MI on June 11th at 9:30 p.m. and arriving on June 12th to St Lucia at 1:30pm. Just in time to make our 2:30 check in. I can’t stress how important it is to make sure you are booking a good flight, because if you don’t, you can end up traveling for 2 days and miss some of your rental time at the villa.

Good luck, pm if you have other questions!
