Can you get a refund and find something similar on-line?  I’ve heard positive stories about James Allen and Blue Nile, or perhaps Brilliant Earth…

Really sorry you’re having problems; my e-ring came from a “galleria” and I have not had a minutes trouble with it, BUT it is a simple solitaire.

Maybe their work is just not very good. If it happens a third time I’d go to a different stone setter and ask their opnion.

Congratulations on your engagement!

I’m sorry to hear that your stone is loose. It’s a really bad sign when you’ve only worn the ring for less than 2 weeks! It’s not a big deal to replace side stones but your center stone should not be loose after 2 weeks. 🙁

Run, don’t walk, back to the store and return it!! I had a million problems with the same store and I naively believed them when they kept telling me they could fix it. I ended up having to get a whole different ring, which I like ok, but the whole thing left such a horrible taste in my mouth. A properly set stone should not be loose twice in 2 weeks. If they can’t construct your ring well enough to last 2 weeks, how’s it supposed to last you a lifetime?!

you tell ’em. You’re the customer and they have failed to produce a result that is satisfactory. Don’t use this unless you absolutely have to…but don’t be afraid to do this: “I would like to speak to the manager. I’m contacting corporate because of how unhappy I am about my experience here.” Everyone has a boss.

It might be the setting in general is flawed…can you add more prongs that will help with keeping it secure.  Also, the metal of the prongs migh be weak have that checked out as well.

It’s loose because of the cold weather?!?!  Seriously?  It’s an engagement ring, not a freaking truck tire!  I have never heard something like this in my life, and Colorado gets pretty damn cold, my setting only came loose after I jammed a prong between a shelf and an 80lb box of shifting files….call bullshit on the Galleria and tell them you want a new head put in, the one you got is jacked up!

I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada and it gets to -40 here in the winter…..I have never heard of diamonds becoming loose because the cool cold.

lots of people have standard prongs on their process cuts and do not have an issue. I think the quality of the work may be lacking.

if they don’t deliver then it might be time to take the diamond out and go to somewhere else for a setting :/
