My SO just came back from the jeweler putting in an order for a Tacori setting. He said that the jeweler (authorized dealer) took measurements of our center stone and ordered the setting, and will set the stone themselves once the setting comes on in about a month. I was under the impression that any work done by someone other than Tacori invalidates the warranty, and so I thought the stone would be sent in to Tacori and the setting made around it there, then set by Tacori, and sent back. Does anyone have experience with this? I’m not sure if minor work like polishing or setting a stone is ok by the warranty as long as it is an authorized dealer, or if this little mishap will invalidate the warranty before I even get the ring!!! Should I be worried?!? I think we will contact Tacori directly too.

It does. Same thing happened to me. Also if you don’t have it checked every 6 months etc.

We ordered a Tacori semi-mount in June to have my current diamond reset in by the jeweler we purchased it from (because otherwise the warranty on the stone would be void). We asked the authorized dealer if this would be a problem with the Tacori warranty and they said that it wouldn’t be.

My ex ordered a ring from an authorized dealer. They sent it to Tacori to be set for the same reason and then sent it back. I would contact Tacori directly if I were you to make sure. Don’t take anyone’s word when it comes to huge purchases like this!

We just emailed Tacori with the order number and name of the authorized dealer. At least then, we’ll have it in writing either way. We’re completely ready to stop payment and find another dealer if necessary.

I believe Tacori set my stone. I would double check to be sure though.

Our authorized dealer set my stone and we have in writing that Tacori allowed that without altering the warranty.
