@bretonvirgniia:  You are beautiful…..and the next moron who gently reminds you about your wedding in connection with a menu choice should be treated to a gentle reminder that until your wedding is over…THEIR FACE is also something you’d be happy to eat.

if it helps, I would love to be 165 right now.  I’m about 180/185 and I feel the same pressure. Don’t worry about it. I’m not.  my one salvation is I look great in pictures–thank god!

@bretonvirgniia:

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.

 Do you know how many times I’ve heard this quote? Do you know how many things I can think of that taste SO MUCH BETTER than skinny feels?

PFFFTT.

Preach on girl.

Man. I am on board. I am attempting to lose weight but this has been a two year battle. I will win.

I just am sick of worrying whether or not I will make it to an ideal size ‘in time’. My dress fits – my rehearsal dress fits – I don’t have back boob. I am technically happy. I just feel like (and it is totally possible this is external pressure) that I will look back at my pictures and regret not spending an extra hour in the gym. >:(

But I agree with Ms. Nona…the reminders from your friends and fam need to be quelled – feel free to do so in a respectful or a disrespectful manner (since they obvs. opted for the latter).

@bretonvirgniia:  Say that! I found it disturbing that the handful of bridal shows I went to always had vendors from gyms and diet companies. I understand people wanting to tone up or look like their best selves, but it came off as a little insensitive to me. I kept thinking “What does this have to do with a wedding?” And then I realized what they were trying to push. SMH

@bretonvirgniia:  Just being honest here. I just stalked your profile and saw the pics you put on the “tips from a pin up” thread. Umm… I’d give my right arm and probably a leg and a kidney to look like you. You’re one damn fine woman. The next person who tries to give you shit can come talk to me and I will punch them in the face for you. Tell them to fuck off.

YA GIRL!!!! Our fiance’s love us the way we are anyway. I understand wanting to look amazing on the big day, I go to the gym and all that, but he doesn’t want to marry some stick thin stranger!

@bretonvirgniia:  Its all a sham….honestly?  I NEVER look at my wedding photos, I don’t have any of them framed or anything in the house, they’re beautiful, they’re gorgeous and they sit in an album on a shelf…the only person who looked at it was my step-daughter, showing her totally bored out his mind boyfriend…which was a weird and creepy experience anyway, because she kept saying, “When we get married….”

Bleh

What I do have are some very vivid and powerful memories, little etchings in my soul from that day and a few days since, where the gravity of the commitment we made and the profound and awe inspiring enormity of it crashes down over me, and I’m humbled by the grace of our union, the strength of our love for each other and the boundless depth of the understanding and kindness we give to each other…..

Ain’t no person can take a picture of that….and its fucking beautiful…even if my ass is two axe handles wide while it happens.
