So here is my dress, as seen in the second picture it will have a wide black cummberbund sash, and my accessories that I have so far…I am also planning on doing a birdcage veil and a feather fascinator in white.
The question is that I really want to add this red bolero but I am afraid I would just be too overaccessorized.
What do you all think? What if I got it and just wore it for the reception?
I reallly reallly want it:) But I don’t want to look tacky.
Thanks for your help.

Love the bolero but I do think it’s too much. All your accessories are statement pieces and you really shouldn’t have too many. Also, I don’t think the bolero really goes with the other accessories.

I think if you traded out the earrings for simpler ones you could pull off the bolero so I guess it’s up to you which you like more. 🙂 But I don’t think you’d look tacky either way though so if you really want it, do it.

That bolero is amazing! I do think the bolero and the big sash are a little too much – you don’t want to completely hide your beautiful dress! What if you switched the big sash for a slimmer black ribbon?

ditch the sash, keep the bolero! your dress looks spectacular without the sash, and the bolero is sexy!

I think the bolero is Gorgeous, but it does seem like it might be a bit too much. Coco Chanel always said, when accessorizing, take the last thing you put on, off.

Its great, but it doesn’t match so well. If you really want the bolero, I’d say the earrings should go, and, while I love the sash, the two of them don’t go together, unless maybe you made them both the same color (if that were an option). And, take this with a grain of salt because its just MY opinion, but I don’t think the earrings and braclet go together. They’re different colors and styles! Actually, overall, bolero or not, I personally don’t think the earrings go that great with it, but again, thats MY opinion and PLEASE don’t let that sway you if you love them! I had my day, and this is yours lol Just wanted to be honest is all 🙂

The bolero is a beautiful piece, but I say don’t wear it with your wedding dress! Stop now! Can you wear it maybe for the dinner reheasal since you love it so much!?

Wow..the bolero is great, great, great!!! I have to agree with others who said to wear the red bolero instead of the black sash! I think that it would be too much with the black sash, but if you love it, then I’m sure you will rock it!!!

I have the same bolero and it is even more fabulous in person. I am taking off my veil and wearing the bolero during the reception. I think the sash and the bolero may be too much, but its your personal taste. My concern would be your earrings. I am wearing small earring because the bolero goes up to your ears and looks too busy with long earring. Just my thoughts.

I too worry that the bolero and sash combo may be over the top. Have you tried them on together? I’m afraid it would look too ‘piece-y’, like you’ve been chopped up into sections. horizontally.
It’s super cute though; I actually like it better than the sash, if it were my choice between the two.

It’s a beautiful bolero, but I agree with the others, it will be a little too much.
I like jingle96’s suggestion of wearing it to your rehearsal dinner.
I just think the sash and bolero mainly will clash. One or the other.

I also think the bolero is too much with the sash and other accessories. Also, maybe a bit too modern when your earrings and bracelet seem vintage-y (which are really pretty, btw).
