I dont know how much of the store name Im allowed to post here but Im pretty upset with Davids Bridal (mods please edit if this is against rules).. this is a pretty common store where a lot of people use for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. Im actually a very calm and collected bride.. nothing has really phased me until this..
My Bridesmaid or Best Man ordered and paid for her dress in December from this store that is very well known… They told her that her dress would be in mid-march. Well january (towards the end) she gets a phone call from the store stating they had a mix up and her dress just got ordered and she would receive it April 13th (strike one). She and I were both like “eh no biggie..”… Well April 13th came.. and went and all 5 of my other girls dresses came in and guess what… no dress (stike 2). So I call the store and they nonchalantly tell me.. oh well I guess there was a miscommunication we will find out what the problem was.. They call me back 4 hours later to tell me.. “the dress will be in may 19th..” (strike 3)
I responded to the lady “May 19th.. that is a week before my wedding..” and the lady seemed like she didnt care and it was no big deal.. so I ask for her manager. She said her manager wasnt in and she would have her call me. Two days and no call.. so I called back up and asked for the manager and again got shoved to the side.. so I then ask for her manager.. they send me to her voicemail. I leave a voicemail calmly asking for her to call me back.. another couple of days go by and no phone call..
So ladies.. I have taken it upon myself and called the CEO of this big company.. talked to his executive assistant today and I am waiting for a phone call back. Not only is my Bridesmaid or Best Man going to have to pay for rushed alterations.. but the place has made it seem like this is no big deal.. I am going to demand that she not only get free alterations.. at this point they need to refund her for the dress.. Even another one of my BM’s used to be a manager at a store up here and she even admitted this is a huge mistake.
Am I way out of line?
