Was this David’s Bridal? I think they do have their own designers but I’m not sure.

@eagle: Soooo many designers steal others designs. Just look at wtoo camilla and amsale dahlia. And a lot of designers have their dresses made in China as well. But I’m a replica dress bride–i would go the online route. 🙂

I know this is old, but im bumping it for informational purposes.

yes, plenty of stores have their own lines. No, they are not gettng them from china and jacking up the prices. Many mainstream designers will design a private collection for a store if the money is right. They buy the right to put their store name into them. I just wanted to clear that up, because it seems to come up quite a bit.

I bought my dress from a store like that. It’s a family-owned business – my dress says “made in China” because it’s two Chinese immigrant girls whose families are still in the PRC. The girls design the dresses, the families sew them, they send them here. They’re super sweet and I love promoting small businesses.
