Mervyn’s ( I think they are still open on the west coast? )

We used to have an LS Ayres and it was my favorite store. It’s gone now, but its memory lives on :*(.

We used to have a shoe store Wild Pair and another named Parade of Shoes. I miss them both.

Steve and Barry’s is the first one that comes to mind. There are others though if I sit and think for a bit.

I miss Dayton’s. It was a local department store that was THE BEST. I have such fond childhood memories of that place, but then it got bought out by Macy’s. I hate Macy’s.

Gemco, Fedco, Montgomery Wards and Thrifty…..it was bought out by Rite Aid, but I loved their ice creams….and I know Rite Aid kept them, but for some reason they just don’t taste the same, maybe it is childhood memories.

@GroovyHippieChick: The only Mervyn’s I knew of in the area closed about 2 years ago.
The only other store I recognize here is Tower Records. Man do I miss Tower Records. =(
