We had multiple signature cocktails to create an open but somewhat limited bar. We are both world travelers, met because of this shared interest, and our wedding had a travel theme so we themed these cocktails after places around the world we had been. It was a super fun process coming up with the cocktail concoctions with the caterer. We balanced it with two basics and two more adventurous drinks. We also connected the other alcohol to places that were important to us, the beers were local brewed in Minnesota, where the wedding took place and where I grew up, and the wines and champagne (sparkling wine) were from CA, where we are living now.

beehive : we had warm apple cider with cinnamon, which we both love, as a welcome drink at our winter wedding. We had an open bar but I made myself and many other people my signature “drink” which is white wine with Julmust (a swedish christmas soda similar to Coca Cola but less sweet). Most people think I’m crazy for liking it but my family always makes it for Christmas and I love it. In the summer I sometimes make it with Coke.

We are having three:
Mine: Watermelon and lime Moscow Mule made with kombucha, ginger, watermelon and vodka, with some lime tossed in there!
His: Whiskey sour with a handmade sour mix
Ours: Pineapple jalapeno margarita, with a little splash of pomegranite to make it ‘our’ color (blush).
I expect our drinks will be a big hit, also for the bar cart that they will be served out of. It’s a super cute vintage caravan that will be decked out in lights and greenery. So excited!!

jenkat205 : My friend did this for her wedding! She and her husband have 2 cats, so they named their 2 signature cocktails after them. They loved having a cute tribute to them at the wedding and it totally fit their personalities!
