I used henkaa.com  Had order to order six bridesmaid dresses they only come in two sizes. 2-14 and 14-24. So alterations weren’t necessary, which is the best part. Plus they are convertible dresses which means they convert into many different looks!

I would do two things;

1) research that the site is legit (they often have statements about being stockists of certain brands etc. look on review websites and such.

2) get you girls measured by a professional. alterations if you buy completely the wrong size can be very expensive, and sometimes might not be possible (if a size too small is ordered). on the same point, check their return policy in case sizing is off.

It always seems like with these dresses there is just not enough support in the bust.

I had my BM’s order their dresses offline at JCrew.com and everything was great. They came in about 5 days later and all of the orders were correct. I’m really happy I went that route because there was no aruging over when they should order or whatever. We ordered them in August 2011 so a good 10 months before my wedding. They were originally $268 dresses but we got them for $99.99 on clearance and they were the exact color I was looking for.

@mrsZiggs:  The dresses are schedule to arrive in February, so we don’t have them yet either.  I can keep you updated when they arrive.  Netbride has quite good reviews, so I’m sure it’ll turn out ok 🙂

I ordered by Bill Levkoff dresses at Madame Bridal – http://www.madamebridal.com for my wedding a year ago. They offered the best price for the dresses I choose. Good customer service – they answered my questions really fast and their dresses are genuine. Just be sure to order it waaaay ahead of time. I ordered in the beginning May and it was shipped at the end of July. Standard delivery takes 10-12 weeks (and then you need to factor in alterations). I had my girls send me their sizes and then ordered everyones all together to save on shipping.
