I bought a dress second hand and just got it yesterday….i looooooooooooooove it 🙂
My wedding is still a year away so I am not sure what the best way to store it is. It came with a garmet bag but it is quite light. My mom thinks I should put it in a thicker plastic garment bag, but I am wondering if the lighter material like bag has a purpose (maybe so some air can circulate the dress? i dunno)
Do anyone know??

i got mine in december, about nine months prior to my wedding. i keep it in a garment bag that’s unzipped several inches from the bottom to let air circulate. this was the bridal salon’s recommendation. i take it out every now and then to try on because i just can’t help myself!

My dress is in a heavier garment bag, but I was told to unzip the bag about an inch to let the dress air out. We had mine in our spare closet that no one used. I think if you are storing it in a safe place it doesn’t matter how thick the bag is. I was also told don’t store it around the kitchen or above the kitchen so that smells don’t get in there.

i got mine in february, and it’s been stored in a garment bag in the back of the my mom’s walk in…where it’s dark… like missPP, i take it out and air it out every once in a while 😉

i have stored my former dress(yes i’m a two dress bride) in a cloth garment bag, but just make sure you store it somewhere dark and dry!! those are the keys!
