Anyone having their wedding here? Can you give me some insight on the booking process. Mr. Cheesy Potatoes and I were going to get married at my church, however I am a bit hesitant due to the large gap that would occur….
This is definetly my other option but I know its hard to get. Just looking for some help/thoughts.
Thanks!

@Cheesy Potatoes: My fiance’s cousin got married there. I could give you her facebook and she could maybe explain it to you? Let me know what you think :-).

@Corykru: Aww..thanks for going to the trouble but I’ll just call them. I just thought if there were some girls on here that had already had their weddings I would hear what they had to say!
Thank you anyways! Much appreciated!

I called St. Paul’s to see what dates they had available. They only had one time slot available in November. It was like 2:00 on November 19. Something like that. I guess my only advice would be to book far in advance. It’s a beautiful church though. I got lucky and got Heinz Chapel. We just called St. Paul’s as a back up. Good Luck!

That is a beautiful church, but I hear it’s popular. My sister got married at Heinz Chapel because my dad is a Pitt alumni. BOth places are beautiful!

If you haven’t called yet, I am familiar with the booking process :o) I’m a November 2012 bride at St. Paul’s, so I was lucky to have a pick of 2:00 or 4:00. You can message me if you have any questions, though!

@Cheesy Potatoes: My daughter is getting married there this fall. They only have 2:00 and 4:00 weddings on Saturdays. There are strict time (and other) limitations and a big cost to reserve this church, but when you step inside…wow! Mrs. Hartmann handles all the details and is very kind and accomodating. I was worried about the time gap between a 2:00 wedding and a 5:30 reception, too, but when you see that the wedding itself is about 1 hour and just getting out the door and into cars and then to the reception takes up time, too. Then you have photos after that and you realize after spending a fortune on photographers/videographers, you really want them to take their time and get a lot of shots while allowing you time to relax and refresh. The time gap allows for that! Good luck in wherever you choose!

Just an fyi – I booked my date with St. Paul’s yesterday (Nov. 3, 2012). Pretty much all of the Oct 4pm slots were already taken which is why I have Nov 3. So I would advise anyone who wants St. Pauls to book ASAP!
