- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
Did anyone else get strange comments from their guests after invites were sent out? Mine were just delivered yesterday and ALREADY I’ve had too weird comments.
One a woman posted on my facebook wall, we’ll be there! Am I supposed to consider that her RSVP? Because I still need to know what you and your husband want to eat, LOL
And my co-worker said thank you for the invitation… like it’s an honor to be invited?
I don’t know, just wondering if anyone else experienced this!

@mchitt329: I think these are probably just their way of sharing their excitement for you. She’ll probably send back her RSVP anyway (for the food option), but if not at least you’ll know she’s planning on coming and be able to track her down for that info later. As for your co-worker, it is an honor to be invited to your wedding! It means she’s among our X closest friends, and it’s nice to feel appreciated. I’m glad the’re happy for you!

These don’t sound like strange comments to me.
Make a note about the person who said they’d be there, then if you don’t get an R.s.v.p back, give her a call to find out what she’d like to eat.

I don’tunderstand how you perceived those comments as “weird”. Saying thanks for an invite is completely normal IMO. I think people just need to say something in order to acknowledge that they received their invite.
