I saw this yet again today and it just blows my mind. So people will go into little tirades on something controversial (politics generally but other things as well) and then at the end ask people not to comment if they disagree or ask for people to not comment at all.
Really, you can post your feelings on a matter but others are not allowed to respond! How does this make sense. You somehow have the right to express yourself but you think others should be limited. If you don’t want responses, don’t post in the first place.
I.e. this one girl today post this email she got that in essence said that anyone who supported Obama has a low IQ and then she states that any negative comments would be deleted. Excuse me but isn’t calling a group of people stupid for their beliefs pretty darn negative whether or not you support Obama?? I am more likely to respond when I see this “friendly” note asking people not to and this situation put me over the edge so I responded with “is anything other than your opinion negative?” haha. I felt bad later and deleted it but still the principal of the thing!. This contradiction just really bothers me and I keep seeing more of it!
I guess I should take a break from Facebook haha. Rant over.
