Where have you all gotten your strapless bras from? My dress is strapless, so obviously I need a strapless bra. But there are so many options, and some of the prices are outrageous. Not looking to spend a fortune on the bra. But at the same time, I want something decent. I have zero experience with buying a strapless bra. I’m a D cup, so something that will provide support is necessary too. Any advice ladies?

Have you had alterations yet? If not, your seamstress may want to do a built-in bra, which is what my dress ended up with.

mrsaljtobe : I had a strapless gown as well and I am also. 34ddd on a petite frame. Once alterations were done I didnt need a bra at all. I say wait until your first fitting to see.

It will also depend on the structure of the top of your dress as if it is a solid very fitted bodice they may just be able to add cups instead of a full bra and you will be fine. I would ask when you go for your fitting what they suggest.

I have a similar sized chest (34D) and had the same concern for finding a strapless bra for my wedding. For my dress, the seamstress ended up adding in cups so I didn’t end up needing to buy a bra after all! The cost of alterations may increase but I think it was well worth it. So, I second what PP have said to wait for alterations and check with what your seamstress recommends is best =)

Thank you all for the suggestions, so appreciated! I go for my first alterations appointment next week, so I will wait for now on getting anything, and see what my seamstress recommends doing. Having it sewn into my dress would probably work great for my dress!

NuBra! I first bought mine for my wedding dress and now I wear it all the time. I couldn’t live without it! It’s around $35 and I got mine from Nordstrom Rack but I bet you could find it on Amazon. Sometimes I wonder how I lived without a backless bra for 25 years… haha

I’m wearing a strapless bra with my dress. Wasn’t going to wear a bra but my seamstress convinced me that I needed more cleavage (32B and that’s pushing it😂)! I got my strapless bra from Victoria’s Secret on sale.

I got mine from David’s Bridal at the same time I bought my dress. I think it was $70, but it’s a corset bra and everything just looked so good together. Not to mention getting them both at the same time just made things easier.

I wore a strapless bra because my dress wasn’t a style that would work well with cups sewn into the dress. I went to Victoria’s Secret and they sized me. I am a 34D and the bra that I wore worked very well.

I went to a specialty store. Victoria’s Secret type stores don’t make my size and I wanted it to fit properly.
