nirvanavixen:  If it’s your size and a corset that’s laced properly, you shouldn’t have any problems, but if you’re really concerned, you could have straps added ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore a dress with removable off-the-shoulder straps and a corset back and didn’t have any issues, but I’m not particularly busty.

nirvanavixen:  Yes, but I had my dress custom made. I actually think the neck line looked a tiny bit weird without the straps.

I think pulling off added straps depends on the dress itself and what you want the straps to look like. And I think sometimes dresses come with a little bit of extra fabric which could be made into straps, and then you’d know for sure they would match perfectly.

If your dress fits you, and a corset back will, there will be no issue. Those things are made to stay up right!! I am a tomboy, I have white shoulders, and I have a big chest, oh believe me I understand where you’re coming from!

Like PPs said, with the corset you should really be fine, but if you want extra security you can add something called a “waist stay” to your dress that helps it stay up so you aren’t pulling it up all night. If you google waist stay, you’ll find easy DIY ways to do it with some safety pins and ribbon/elastic.

A strapless dress wont easily fall off if youre worried about that, especially if it fits you properly. I wore a strapless ballgown once but NEVER AGAIN! Even though it fit me very well, gravity and dancing still made me need to pull it up. It wont ever fall off or expose you, but it was still really annoying. I suggest you add straps if you want to be 100% comfortable. I dont mean to make you worried about it! But maybe next time you try it on, jump and wiggle in it and see how it feels to you. You want to be comfortable on your day!

My dress was strapless and I’m a 32E. The alteration lady said that the most important thing is that the waist is snug and then the dress will keep itself up. If it’s too tight around the boobs then you get back/underarm overflow and it diha in and is less comfy. My dress was absolutely perfect and I didn’t have to pull it up once all day/night! I felt totally secure and I danced SO MUCH! I’d say a corset would be even better (mine was a zip) as the fit will be totally adjusted to you. Have no fear, you will look amazing!
