Side pony is what I went with.  I swore I wanted my hair down and I have very curly hair.  My stylist was AMAZING !!  Stayed in all day, and night, through 90 degree hot and humid outside ceremony, some serious dancing, and a wild after party.  (My side sweep went a little wild… did have to pin that down)

@bellaboo79:  I think down looks better – I am a plump lady myself.  I thought up would be better but then its just like too much skin showing so I found a happy medium with a 1/2 updo that went to one side.

I think hair up with a strapless dress looks more elegant. Makes your neck look longer or something. That’s what I’m doing. (Just pinned that hair up pic you posted. love it!)

I had a corset dress that was strapless and really felt self conscious about my back and possibly having a double chin in pictures.   I chose to have my hair down to avoid feeling as self conscious.  Plus i think with strapless dresses can make shoulders appear wider than they are, but with hair down I think it makes you look smaller.

im plus size and have a strapless ball gown dress and im planning on having my hair up in a low updo with a bunch of curls down around my face. id say if your worried about looking boxy you could do a side ponytail or partial updo. but heres what im doing.

I vote hair down!  But I may be  a little biased since that’s what I did 😛
