My dress has straps and my girls are wearing strapless. I think the most important factors should be what they look best in and what they are comfortable wearing.

I agree with LGenz. The last wedding I was in the bride wore strapless and 2 BMs had straps 3 didnt. All the photos looked great and all the BMs were comfortable in their dresses and looked great.

I don’t think it really matters… This is what I wore and what my BM’s wore…

I don’t think it matters that much. I had thin straps, one bridesmaid had thick straps, and the other had none. But if I were a bridesmaid, I’d prefer straps. It makes dancing easier.

I’m also going to suggest (for those of us who are a little more full up top) that if you go with strapless,  you suggest (and assist with) having a tailor make straps out of any leftover/alterations material. It does a world of good.

I don’t think it matters compared to your dress. But I would ask your BMs your preference–I NEVER wear strapless dresses and would flat out refuse to wear one as a Bridesmaid or Best Man. I know most people don’t have this problem, but I think it’s a good thing to check.
