100% trend, don’t get me wrong they are pretty, but not a classic look and 20 years from now our kids will say; my god mom what were you wearing! Thats why I went with a color shoe but not all blinged out. Kept it simple.

Hmm… I think they’re pretty.  Probably trendy, but I don’t think they’ll end up being the Hammer pants of our generation or anything.

Everything is a trend, bridal or not. Personally, I think sparkley shoes will stick around for a bit. But will they scream the 2010-2020 decade? Probably not. Will I still wear them? Yep!

Eventually, your wedding day photos will look dated. I can look at my 2009 prom photos and cringe because I was wearing a ‘trend’. But at the time, it was what I wanted to wear. Or even watching movies like Mean Girls, the style is so 2004, but that doesn’t take away from the awesomness that is that movie.

There is almost nothing that is “Timeless” and you can bet our moms loved those big poofy sleeves and hats when they wore them just like this generation loves their burlap, mermaid dresses and lace. Yes, eventually it will look dated, but anything will, even when it isn’t super trendy, it will be dated in 20 years because just “regular” style will change. And I don’t think it is a bad thing to look like your wedding happend in the era it did.

@justjade:  Hahaaaa I’m not sure, maybe mason jars? DIY photobooths? Candy buffets? Illusion necklines? It’s hard to say what will hang around and what people will giggle at in time… It is gonna be so much fun to look back and find out though.
