I am planning on making a spinach strawberry salad with grilled chicken for Easter dinner this weekend. The question I have is that I’m not sure what type of dressing to put with it. I could either buy a raspberry vinagarette that is prebottled at the store or I found a recipie that includes blended up strawberries and you make your own vinigarette that way. Everyone eating it is on some type of diet so the dressing must be low cal. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Here is the link with the info on the DIY dressing:

@FutureMrsMeinhardt: definitely make your own. store bought salads are expensive and loaded with all sorts of nastiness anyway.
The link you posted sounds good, but I’ve never made a dressing without oil in it! I wonder how it will do..
I make salads very often throughout the week and i just eyeball a 1:3 ratio of vinegar to oil and throw in some salt, garlic powder and mustard/lemon juice/honey if i feel like it. A basic red wine viniagrette goes well with everything.

When I make them I usually use either a sweetened red wine vinaigrette or a pomegranate vinaigrette. I agree that a salad dressing without oil seems a bit odd.
