Our destination wedding is in 2 weeks. We have family & friends who just couldn’t make the trip abd were thinking of some way for them to be able to watch the ceremony by streaming it live. Does anyon have any experience with this? What did you use – Skype? Ustream? And did you manage the video, have a trusted guest hold up an iPhone through it all?? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! Oh, and are there any ways to link it up through Facebook?

@junebug2013: I have no experience with streaming something like this, but I know you can video chat with multiple people through google. Maybe check that out?

Commenting because I was interested in doing this as well and I’d love to see the responses 🙂

I know of two couples who have done this. However, I don’t know any of the details.

I think it’s a little strange to hope these people will want to watch it live. That means scheduling however much time to sit in front of their computer for a comparatively lackluster experience. If your destination is timezones apart, it’s even less appealing.
A shared video (or even photos) of the highlights will more than suffice, I would say.

My cousin was stationed in Vegas and so only close friends and family could pay to fly out there for the wedding. I don’t know details, but they streamed their wedding live…but the hotel (The Flamingo) handled it all so I’m not sure how they did it :/
