Has anyone seen these? We are looking for something completely different and simple but elegant to match our wedding reception (ceremony in same space). I saw online these streamer backdrops and I just love the idea but all the pictures I’ve seen are pastel colors..
Has anyone does this with dark colors?
Would black and white streamers be too kiddie? Or would it match our black and white theme wedding?
And what exactly is the material they use to make it? paper streamers? Ribbon? Something else I have no clue about?

I was thinking about doing this too! I’ll probably just buy a big white sheet and dye it different shades of orange, and then add some gold and silver ribbon.
Ribbon will probably be your best bet with black and white, and I bet it will look nice!

We have not done ours yet but we will be doing ours with ribbon make sure to order a LOT of ribbon and get different widths for visual intrest (even more so if you are only doing 2 colors)

I made this with strips of muslin:
Total cost was about 20 bucks!

I have seen this before, and LOVE it! We’re having a beach wedding so I’m seriously considering doing it with a bamboo arch if Fiance goes for it. I would recommend doing exactly what MsPanda said, lots of ribbon in different widths for some good visual appeal!

Our colors are black and white with plum purple but majority is black and white.. so I was thinking about doing black and white with maybe alittle pop of purple to show in the backdrop?
How exactly do I do this? Should I get a white, black and purple sheet and just cut it in long shreds to mix with the ribbon or would that look tacky?
Wonder how much ribbon I am going to need.. I purchased my plum ribbon from David Bridal because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. And it took over a month to come in!
I better order another roll tomorrow when I go, I can get cheap black and white ribbon anywhere but that plum is harder! haha
What are you using to hold it up? My ceremony space has brick walls, so I would need like a mock up clothes line type of thing.. do you think PVC pipe would hold that up?

I got wooden dowels from Home Depot – they were like 2.99 each. I used 1.5 yards of muslin (I think it was 3.50 a yard) and dyed it with RIT.
I’d probably stick with 2 colors or textures to keep it from being too busy – because it will be behind you in all of your ceremony photos. I think doing just the plum or shades of plum would look awesome because your dress would really pop against it.

Hmm.. I wish I could find pictures of purple shades streamer backgrounds so I can show my fiance, everything is freaking pastel!!!
But I love this idea.. it’s fun, different, and so US haha
But I’m worried about the color scheme I should use.. would white and black not be a good idea? Or would plum and black? white and plum?
