@llberu:  Fantastic!! Thanks for a very thorough response! I’m from the Portsmouth area originally so that might actually be a great reason to go back for a visit. 🙂

@HellaCooper:  For what it’s worth I went to Madelines Daughter and I wasn’t impressed.

Their sample room was not that large (I went through every dress in it) and they had a lot of “weird” couture dresses in small sizes. I was also looking for lace dresses and I found maybe 4 to try? They will shop for you and only let you in the back if they’re not getting anywhere with you with the ones they pick.

@msrmz:  Have you found anywhere you really liked in the area? 🙂

@HellaCooper:  I had a decent experience at Bancroft Bridal in Feeding Hills, MA, and I am going to Chantilly Place and Angela’s in Portland in the next few weeks once I finalize the venue.

I had a great experience at Chryssie’s Bridal in Canton, MA. I didn’t buy my dress from them (I ended up buying in VA since the wedding will be down there) but they weren’t pushy at all and had, what seemed to be an unlimited amount of dresses in 12-20. I also had a great experience at VOWS. They had a ton of dresses as well. There was no pressure from them to buy.

llberu:  You know what, I have no idea yet! I’m still debating whether I should wear silver jewerly with it or if I have to go with a gold. My engagment ring is white gold, so I planned on having a white gold band as well. As for veil, I ordered it in a corresponding light gold color but I would like to look for a hair piece with a flower. For shoes I was going to look for a champagne color. What are you thinking of doing???
