I LOVE fitted dresses and have measurements of 38-30-41 I’m 5’5″ making me a size 12 in bridal gowns. Has anyone with simililar measurements been able to pull off a fitted gown? I’d love to see pictures of any type of gown of size 12 (or close to) ladies. My mom will be in town this weekend and if love to go shop with just her since she’s going to miss out on a lot of our wedding planning living a few states over.

You are in the same boat as me, except I am a size 6 , though I think we did order a 12, they measured my hips very losely, which is alright better to take in that have to fit to squeeze.

I am close to that… 36-29-??. I am usually a size 8 in jeans (Express). My dress ended up being a Size 10, as it was a fit/flare and I have hips! The only part of the dress that needed any alteration was the hip area, which was taken out some, and then the top was taken in so that it fitted better.

I’m a street size 8, 5’2 and had to order a 14 in bridal. I’m still waiting on my pro pictures, but my dress was a fit and flare. I loved it! showed curves in all the right places. I dont think you’ll have any issues with a fitted dress! I’ll try and search FB to see if I can find any decent quality pictures

Awesome thank you ladies so much. You all look great. I don’t normally wear tight clothing but would really like to try on some fitted dresses to be a little more glamourous for the big day.

This is a size 12 sample. Most all of the sample dresses in the bridal shops were a 12 or 10. Which fit me pretty well. I have very similar measurements as you… except my natural waist is 2 inches larger. I wear a size 10 street size, I am 5’8″, and weigh 145 pounds. It really just depends on the dress style and the brand for size, but with your measurements I’m sure you will be able to pull off a fitted dress! I went in thinking I wanted one type of dress now I know my body type looks better in a different type. Just go with your mom and enjoy trying on all the dresses. You will look great!!!

Hi! When I received my dress and took these pictures I was 38-30-37. My gown is also a size 12. I’m 5’10”
The first ones are of me when my dress actually came in my size, the last ones when it was clipped back at the bridal salon I wanted to show you both, just to show you how different the fit can be when the dress isn’t fitted! It looks ten times better in your actual size, so keep that in mind
