@naturalysam:  Well excuse me. Guess I was confused when I didn’t associate my size 0, C cups, waist, and womanly hips with that of a shapeless, jail-bait, preteen. (Heads upstairs to repeat how hideously un-womanly she is in a mirror (insert even more sarcasm.))

Juts because someone is a different size doesn’t mean they are ugly. No one was calling anyone unattractive. The point of this was to simply compare street and bridal sizes. I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t repeat that nonsense again.

Mine was weird, I’m a 6/8 but wore a size 4 Alfred Angelo.

@risingsun:  Same, I’m a 12 with a size 14 butt, but my size 8 AA fits me (I ordered a lower size than I was at the time for motivation and was not expecting it to zip up when I tried it). A nice surprise, but a surprise none the less since its supposed to go the other way 🙂

Mine turned out really weird. I’m a street size 4, Demetrios bridal size 2! I have a small rib cage/ waist but I have hips so it depends on the dress style. My dress was a 2 piece ball gown so the corset top was ordered in a size 2 and the skirt was ordered in a size 4. I tried on mermaid style dresses by allure in my dress search and I would have had to order an 8 in that style dress and get the waist altered! I would just rather order a dress that fits my body shape in the first place so ball gown it is!

I bought a Mori Lee size 6 and my street size is 4-6.  They wanted me to get an 8 but I said I wanted a 6 and glad I did since it fits perfectly.

I thought it worth mentioning that European and US sizes differ by about 2 sizes so a Euro 12 is a US 8. This might be why some of you are a larger size in bridal gowns. My dress is by a UK designer and my street size (UK 12) and bridal size was the same.
