Wear a size 4 sometimes 6.  Just ordered my dress in a size 10.

I have a 25 inch waist and I was able to fit into all of the sample sizes during a trunk show, which were 4’s and 6’s.

I’m a street size 2, but I had to get a 6 and get it tailored down because boobs. Lol. And butt. So there’s that. 😉

I’m somewhere between a 0-2 petite usually, and I fit into a stock size 4 in Pronovias. My actual dress ended up being a sample size 10 that I had taken in drastically, intentionally changing some of the style. I don’t know if I could have maintained some of the original design and had it taken in to fit. Every sample I tried on was too big, but some brands were bigger than others.

I think that more expensive designers run smaller, which fits the general trends of American vanity sizing.

HasToBe :  I’m a street 2/4 and actually found Davids Bridal sizing to be bigger? I know it’s not the norm but I ordered a 0 and it fit me like a glove?

davids isn’t “boutique” tho so maybe that’s the difference.
