Are you sure this is stress related and not an allergy?? I’d probably go see a doctor if its that bad.

I actually know exactly how you feel.  I’ve been getting hives for the past 3 months or so, and I’ve seen my primary care physician, had tons of lab work done, and have seen three dermatologists.  And no one can give me an answer. I’ve been put on a combo of OTC drugs: Zantac and Zyrtec.  Neither make you drowsy and combat hives two ways.  I know that Zantac is usually for heartburn, but for some reason is also combats hives.  Make an appointment with your doctor, but you can try those two in combo.  It may help.

I used to get hives every year and not just regular sized ones, but ones that would make my whole arm or leg swell up.  Benadryl, Allegra, Zyrtec – I used them all but nothing would keep them from coming back.  I finally had to get on a steroid (Prednisone) to get rid of them.  Every once in a while when I’m crazy stressed I will get a big welt somewhere, but no where near as bad as I used to be.  If the allergy stuff doesn’t help, ask your doctor for either the steroid shot or the Prednisone pill.  FYI the shot hurts and can make you super dizzy for a little while.  They should keep you in their office for at least 20-30 minutes to monitor your reaction to it before letting you go.  After 30 mins you should be fine.
