- Wedding: June 2012
So my husband and I are renewing our vows in less then a month in Jamaica. We had done a Justice of the Peace wedding for our family and friends back on our dating anniversary, but this is definetly for us and much more of an affair with the big white dress and all that jazz. That being said….
The dress is the picture below. I love it, yeah its a bit formal but it is still flowy and I personally like it for a beach wedding – but when I put it on at the store as soon as they tie up the back I can feel the beads of sweat developing all over my torso, back, and legs from second #1.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of problem? I was thinking of maybe powdering myself down with some Gold Bond or baby powder in hopes that it will absorb the sweat and I won’t look like a puddle of water by the time I put it on, get outside, have our ceremony, and our little reception.
I am already having to sacrifice so much because the cost of this “all inclusive” resort is absurd for extra add ons for the wedding day. I asked about a bridal assistant just to, and only to, help tie the back of my dress and they quoted me $75. It is truly absurd. So I am doing my own hair, my own makeup, and my husband is probably going to end up tying the back of my dress because this is a once in a lifetime trip and we want spending money to go and do things like the dolphin swim and such. But the last thing I want is for my dress to be saturated with sweat!
How have other brides dealt with this problem?
