@jhey83:  Drink milkshakes! Lots and lots of milkshakes!!

Just kidding. 😉 I don’t have much helpful advice other than to say it might depend on how quickly lost weight = lost inches for you. Some people can lose ten pounds and shrink a whole dress size, others can lose ten pounds and just have slightly looser pants. If you are the first kind of person, you might want to schedule another fitting – but if you’re the second, you could just tie the corset a little tighter and be fine, I think.

This happens to me and I’m not even getting married soon (dont even want to think about that) Over the weekend (fri-mon) I lost 8 lbs, slept over at a friends house to study for an exam, ate mcdonalds and ice cream and still lost the weight. I’m thankful because I’d rather lose it than gain it but when you cant lose weight it sucks. I bought my dress oreowned and it fits me like a glove (exact measurements) well it did, tried on again yesterday, super loose in the leg/butt area. Just try it on a two weeks before and either get it altered or pig out! Depends on what weight you’re happy at!

Drink wine/beer!  Reduces stress, and has a good number of calories.  Win win!

I also lose weight when I’m stressed, but managed to fit in my dress okay — I actually did a lot of push-ups to make my top tighter on purpose.  My seamstress made it looser than I liked — there was a bit of a gap.  Push-ups fixed it fast.  It might work for you, too (plus it makes your chest and shoulders look so nice).

@jhey83:  It happened to me. I had my final dress fitting two weeks before my bridals. The dress fit perfect in the shop, but slightly lose at my bridals. My bridal pictures were scheduled three weeks before the wedding. I lost an additional 8 lbs in those 3 weeks. My dress was not a corest back, it was the Maggie Sottero Bernadette with the keyhole in the back. It looked terrible. The week before the wedding, I was back getting additional alternations. I got my dress back three days before the wedding, and made sure I ate during those three days. The dress was not tight. I was very comfortabe, but it looked beautiful. Just make sure to try it on, and try it on often. Have someone who’s fashion sense you trust look at you in the dress. It will all be fine, but just make sure the fit is right for the day of. I looked much better on my wedding than I did in my bridal pictures.

@jhey83:  I did the opposite. My wedding is a day before yours and I gained 6lbs. The lady told me to stop losing weight so technically I did. Ack. For you though, I second a PP who said milkshakes.

i gained weight 🙁 my dress fit me perfectly, did not need any alterations and now it is too tight on top! i have just over 4 weeks until the wedding, and i am thinking of having a corset back added. it will be expensive but i am afraid i won’t loose the weight. i guess id rather have it fit with a corset back, then not fit at all

@mrspriddy:  2 weeks before and you lost enough weight to change the size..that’s reassuring (I need to lose about 5ish pounds before my wedding in 27 days). Okay, NEED is a strong word but I’d really really like to!

@lawbride88:

I was so stressed before the wedding and with getting everything wrapped up at work for my time off, I just didn’t have time (more like make time) to eat. I was like a hyperactive child with a checklist, and strict timeline. I even stopped working out the week of the wedding. But I gained about 1/2 the weight back during the honeymoon!
